Busy, Busy, Busy

Hellooo everyone. Apologies for not blogging in a while. I've been so busy with different projects.

I'm about 1 week away from my 5 year Etsy Anniversary. Can you believe it! I'm so grateful to all my lovely customers for their support in helping me grow my tatting business. I've been thinking up some fun things to celebrate but I'll keep that for another post.

~Latest listings~

I've listed another PDF tatting pattern:

This 'Eva' bookmark tatting pattern features the basic version (Beginner) and three variations (Intermediate) with both written instructions and diagrams. It is an instant download so no need to wait for an email. I hope you enjoy tatting this, I know I do.

Speaking of bookmarks:

This 'Rosa' bookmark was tatted in a lovely lilac / grape thread and leaf green thread. This is also available as a pattern here.

This rustic bookmark started life as my 'Christina' earring design. I then tatted a chain border around the edges. This can be created in your chosen colour. Click here to see the available colours. If you'd like it in a different colour, please contact me and I can source the colour for you.

I've also started listing Christmas decorations:

This large decoration was tatted in metallic silver with gold seed beads. It would look wonderful on any tree.

I've just purchased some gorgeous iridescent thread that I've decided to use to make more decorations. I used this type of thread earlier on in the year for an order and I loved how it looked so buying more was a must. I can't wait to show you how it looks!

~Side project~

In the summer I restarted my Zazzle store for my art and photography. This is a print on demand site with lots of cool products ready for you to add your work to. I like to think of the items as blank canvases.

I've also set up a second store for my nautical themed items:

I'm adding items daily to my Zazzle stores so check back regularly.

That's it for today.

Have a lovely Thursday,
Heather x

Busy, busy, busy

~Busy, busy, busy~

Good afternoon all and hello to new fans. You may be wondering what I've been up to for the past month or so. Well, apart from the usual listing of items (I'll talk more about those in a minute), I've also been working on my first ever wholesale order! It has pretty much taken up most of my time but today I finally finished it. It's been a great experience and I'd love to have the chance to do it again one day. If you would like to order wholesale items please contact me either through my email: tataniarosa@hotmail.co.uk or through my Etsy shop.

Whilst that was going on I had lots of fab ideas for other pieces and now that it's finished, I can try some of them out. There's a Christmas themed coaster and a gothic / medieval inspired coaster, the latter I've just started. I've also had ideas for more napkin ring patterns. Speaking of patterns, I've been thinking about selling some of my own. I was going to do it a few weeks ago but haven't had the time. It's definitely high on my list of thing to try and I'm hoping to have some listed before Christmas.

~Anniversary~

Today is my 3rd Etsy Anniversary! Wow has it really been three years since I started my business. Amazing how time flies. Thank you so much to everyone for all your support. To celebrate I'm going to be running a giveaway / sale from this Friday (I'll give you all the details right here in this blog). I hope you can participate. Don't forget to tell your friends.

~New listings~

My Etsy shop has been gradually filling up with new creations. Here are some of my recent pieces:

In the next few days I'll be listing some more Christmas decorations.

I've also added some gothic creations:

To keep up to date with all things Tatania Rosa, check out my twitter page and Facebook fan page.

Have a nice Tuesday,

Lots Of Updates

Good morning everyone. I've got lots of updates and news to share with you today. First of all, here are some of my latest listings.

~New~

'Rosetta' - I have now added more wedding coasters to my Etsy shop. Each was created, using my original design, in high quality ivory cotton thread.

Find the set of two here, and the set of four here. They would look great at wedding receptions and also make wonderful keepsakes for guests.

'Rosa' - the idea for a rose bookmark came to me a couple of months ago. I tried a prototype but wasn't happy with it, so put it to one side. I went back to it last week and tried again. This time it worked! The rose in the centre and the petals have been tatted in variegated pink cotton thread and the vines are in a lovely green colour. Available to buy on Etsy here.

I've also listed some Christmas decoration that I had in stock but weren't on Etsy yet. You can find them all here.

~Back in stock~

I've relisted some pieces that haven't been in stock for a bit.

'Katherine' black gothic Medieval inspired pendant available here.

'Elaine' black Medieval pendant with black glass drop bead. Find it here

Christmas Decorations And Events

Hello everyone. Hope you are all having a nice day.

So what have I been up to? Well I've been busy creating items for orders and craft fairs as well as new pieces that are now up on Etsy.

~Christmas Craft Fairs~

My first Christmas craft fair for this year will be next Sunday (27th Nov) at Westgate Hall in Canterbury, Kent. Find more details here. If you're in the area, come along. There will be lots of crafts stalls and fun things for the kids to do. I've been working on a new line of housewares that I hope to start selling here.

The second Craft fair I'm attending is the Past and Present Christmas Fair at St. John's Methodist Church, Whitstable, Kent. 10th Dec, 10am to 4pm.

I'm really looking forward to these fairs.

~New item pictures~

I've been taking new pictures for some of my creations. Here's two of my Christmas decorations (click the pictures for the Etsy listings):

This last one seems to be popular as it sold twice in the same day!

~New creations~

This red tatted Christmas decoration is getting a lot of love. At only $5 this makes a great addition to any Christmas tree. Find it here.

I've also made a large silver snowflake. This one will be back in stock as soon as my new silver thread arrives, hopefully in the next few days.

As well as snowflakes, I've also just started tatting Christmas trees. It took a few goes to work out a pattern that looked right and this is the result. The gold decoration below is available here:

These metallic creations are available in other colours. At the moment I have gold, red, blue and black. Feel free to contact me if you want a custom listing for your colour choice or for a different number of decorations. I love custom orders.

I've also started listing these on Folksy for UK customers here.

Seasonal Items

Good morning. Hope everyone is having a nice week so far. So what have I been up to? Well I've been working on some new style of bracelets. I've just finished one and am currently waiting for some new colours to make another one. I can't wait to show you all. I'll post a pic today on my twitter page. Speaking of twitter, I'm just about to reach 1,900 followers. Thank you very much guys :-) I'm thinking of doing something special on there when we hit 1,900.

~New Listings~

'Celyna' Christmas decoration available on Etsy here

This sparkly Christmas decoration was shuttle tatted in metallic blue thread. It would look great on any Christmas tree. I think I'll make a gold one next.

'Violetta' gothic wreath available on Etsy here

I've created my first wall decoration. What do you think? Purple cotton thread was hand tatted round a 5 inch polystyrene ring. I then added black satin ribbon and a cute black ribbon bow. This would look great on Halloween or why not give it to the goth in your life. My head is full of wreath ideas now so expect to see some more soon.

I'm currently editing some photos of new 'Luna' pendants that I hope to list later on today so keep your eyes peeled.

Time for Christmas decorations!

Brrr it's getting colder out there. Well I've done my second Christmas Craft Fair this year. It wasn't too bad but the previous week's was better, mostly because we had more people come through the doors! My next fair is on the 5th December in Canterbury. Come along if you are in the area. The details are on the right.

I've been creating loads of new pieces for these fairs and I've just started listing them on Etsy. The first of which is a gothic necklace. The motif is from my Rosetta coaster. I used a thinner thread and many tiny deep red seed beads to create a dramatic effect. I love this design as it feels very Tudor to me. Find it here.

I've also been listing my new range of tatted Christmas tree decorations. It's a simple design but it works well as a snowflake. Here you can see a white with gold seed beads, white and variegated blue. I've used a metallic thread for the loop at the top. They are quite small but will look look wonderful on any tree and the ones with seed beads sparkle in the light. They are proving quite popular as I sold quite a few at the last fair and am presently working on three separate orders, all for these snowflakes. I have many more colours combinations that I shall have listed by next Wednesday including some alternative ones. Most will be individually listed but if you would like more feel free to contact me and I can create a custom listing for you. These that I've shown can be purchased here.

Christmas orders

I've set the deadline for posting orders to the UK as the 20th December and to everywhere else (including the US) as the 10th. This is to make sure your order gets to you by Christmas. Please bare this in mind when ordering.

Black Friday

Keep an eye on my shop tomorrow as I shall be doing something special for Black Friday / Cyber Monday.

That's all from me for the moment.

Keep warm,
Heather x
