Shop Announcement

Shop Announcement

Afternoon all. I have some shop news to share with you. Etsy have updated their settings for GPSR which means I can now list my creations again! I'll be adding them in batches of 20 per day until I'm where I was in December so please bear with me. Most of my tatting patterns are part of this first update. Find them here.

Thank you for your patience on this and I'm sorry I can't ship to Northern Ireland currently (or the EU). I'll let you know if the process of obtaining an authorized representative becomes more affordable for me.

Lacy Bookmarks

 Good afternoon all.

First off, I have some exciting news to share. I've just reached 1000 followers over on my Instagram page! 😃 I'm so grateful for all the support I've received so far and look forward to sharing more of my creations in the future. Follow me there for something special this week. 😉

I've been adding some more tatting to my Etsy shop.

The first one is my 'Janessa' bookmark design in white cotton thread:

Tatted lace bookmark in white thread.

This would make a lovely wedding favour. Bulk discounts and other colours are available. Feel free to contact me with your ideas. You can find it here.

I've also relisted my summer garden bookmark:

A multicoloured, summer inspired tatted lace bookmark.

This would make a lovely gift for the bookworm in your life or why not treat yourself. Find it here.

More to come soon.

Stay safe,

New Listings, Tatting Patterns and Destash Supplies

Hello everyone. Firstly I'd like to apologies for not keeping up my blogging. There's always so much to do and so little time to do it in. Today I'd like to talk a bit about my latest creations and well as ideas for the future.

~Wine glass charms~

I've been working on wine glass charms. These were created from my original design and feature metallic tatting with sparkly beads around the sides and in the center. The set below is great for birthday, Christmas and New Years Eve parties. Available on Etsy here.

I've also started creating wedding wine glass charms (also in tatting with beads). Currently I have Bride and Groom charm beads but I can get hold of others, such as Bridesmaid, Mother of the Bride, Best Man, Usher and more. If you'd like these with different charms, please contact me through my Etsy shop. The listing is here.

I have two more sets in the pipeline that I shall photograph and list soon.

~Bookmarks~

I love creating bookmarks and managed to make quite a few for my latest craft fair.

Here's a pale blue 'Emily' bookmark listed on Etsy.

There are a further four to photograph and another that I've just started tatting.

~Earrings~

A few weeks ago I decided to start creating mini earrings, so I purchased some lever back components and here's the first pair.

This is based on the larger earrings. Find it on Etsy here.

This leads nicely to my next point.

~Tatting pattern~

I've written up both the small and mini versions of this earring design in one PDF tatting pattern.

It contains both diagrams and written instructions in English and is available here.

You can also buy this in a 4 pattern bundle here.

~Destash Supplies~

I've been sorting though my craft supply boxes and have discovered some items I won't be using so I've decided to sell them as destash. Here are the first few.

I have a whole bag of destash so I'll be listing more over the coming days.

~Current projects~

I have a custom order idea on the go at the moment and I'm also working on a new choker design (pics to come soon). As of this afternoon I've reached part 5 of 7 so I'm nearly there but I'm not sure if it will work yet. I think I might have to alter part of it.

There are also some tatted greeting cards in the pipeline.

Well that's it for today.

For regular updates follow me on twitter or facebook.

(Off topic: I'm participating in Books and Cupcakes' April Book Challenge. You can find all my posts on my tumblr blog here.)

Thank you for your continuing support.

New Site and Listings

Hi all. I hope you're having a good weekend.

I'm having a very productive time. As well as working on some custom orders, I'm also trying to sort through my project box. This is where I keep my most recent ideas and currently it's full of half finished pieces. Now that I've been to my latest craft fair, I'm determined to get back to finishing at least one per day. Here's a few of the items I'll be finishing next:

~Google+~

I've decided to start a Google+ page for my tatting business.

If you're on google+, you can follow me here. I will be using it to keep you updated on new listings as well as some posts on topics I'm interested in. I hope you can join me over there.

~New creations~

Here are my latest tatted lace creations. These can all be found in my Etsy shop.

'Mina' teal beaded earrings. Find them here.

'Lyanara' One Of A Kind prom / tropical beach bridal bracelet. This features the hand dyed 'Corsage' thread by the wonderful Marilee of Yarnplayer. You can find it here.

'Janessa' butterfly garden bookmark. This is also a One Of A Kind piece as this was the prototype for a new bookmark design featuring my 'Janessa' motif pattern. It is available here

I've also decided to update my Etsy banner:

It features part of my variegated pink rose bookmark. What do you think? I really like it.

That's it for today. Keep an eye on my twitter page / facebook page / Google+ page as I'll be listing a few more bookmarks today and tomorrow.

Have a nice Sunday,

Bookmarks and An Invitation

Good afternoon everyone. Hope you're having a good week. It's lovely and sunny here although to tell you the truth I actually prefer it a little cooler than this. We have all the windows open yet it's still too hot. I'm just about to go and have a cool drink but before that it's time for a blog post.

So what have I been up to? Well as usual I have several projects on the go. I'm working on two fairly large orders. I've also be making some more bookmark. Here are some sneak peeks:

I'm loving tatting this one up. It uses my 'Janessa' butterfly pattern. I think it looks great in the multicoloured thread although it does mean I've nearly run out of this colourway. I'll have to order some more from the US before I can list more than one bookmark.

This was one of those ideas that looked great in my head but I wasn't sure if it would work in practice. It uses my 'Rosa' design. I decided to use three colours for the rose in the centre and I'm so glad I went with it. A watercolour painting springs to mind. For the sides I'm using cream and olive green thread.

I'll have these two finished and listed by the weekend.

Speaking of Rosa bookmarks, I've listed a white version on Etsy.

This would make a great wedding favour or perhaps a gift for Valentine's Day next year. You can also customize this design here.

One last thing I'd like to talk about today.

Are you thinking about opening up your very own Etsy shop? If yes then I have an invitation for you.

If you click here and then create and open your shop, your first 40 listings will be free! Cool eh :)

Time to get back to the work.

Have a nice Thursday,
Heather x

Doilies and Coasters

Hi all. Hope you had a nice Easter weekend. I spent most of my time getting ready for a craft fair (that was on Monday)...and eating chocolate of course!

I've also been hard at work on tatting some variations of my 'Cathy' design. Ta da!

This patterns looks great in so many colour combinations. After taking several photos, I've started listing them on Etsy.

Here's the black doily:

You can purchase it here. I'm thinking about doing a wedding white version soon.

This doily was tatted in dark purple, foxglove purple and pale lilac. Find it here.

This is the coaster size in red and pink cotton thread. On Etsy here.

I'll be listing more today, along with some customizable pieces.

News

Good morning one and all. I have a few things to talk about today.

Firstly here is the third and final beaded silver 'Rosetta' pendant, newly listed in my online Etsy shop.

Once it's gone, it's gone so be quick!

Next: what have I been up to? Well yesterday I started tatting some bright multicoloured napkin rings - it's a new version of a design I sold last year. I will continue with them today and they may be listed by the end of the weekend. Keep your eyes peeled.

I'm also creating my next pdf tatting pattern. This one will be a bracelet. I've written down the directions and created the diagram, just need to test it now. I will try to have it listed by the end of today, if not then tomorrow. I hope you enjoy making it as much as I enjoyed designing it.

What else? As usual I'm constantly thinking up new ideas and colour schemes and I now have some things to try out. One being a pair of white and blue beaded earrings. There's also a large variegated brown mat in the pipeline.

There are other things I'm working on too but that's for another time.

Follow me on facebook and twitter for sneak peeks and perhaps even a sale (if you're quick enough ;) ).

Have a great weekend,
Heather x

Busy, busy, busy

~Busy, busy, busy~

Good afternoon all and hello to new fans. You may be wondering what I've been up to for the past month or so. Well, apart from the usual listing of items (I'll talk more about those in a minute), I've also been working on my first ever wholesale order! It has pretty much taken up most of my time but today I finally finished it. It's been a great experience and I'd love to have the chance to do it again one day. If you would like to order wholesale items please contact me either through my email: tataniarosa@hotmail.co.uk or through my Etsy shop.

Whilst that was going on I had lots of fab ideas for other pieces and now that it's finished, I can try some of them out. There's a Christmas themed coaster and a gothic / medieval inspired coaster, the latter I've just started. I've also had ideas for more napkin ring patterns. Speaking of patterns, I've been thinking about selling some of my own. I was going to do it a few weeks ago but haven't had the time. It's definitely high on my list of thing to try and I'm hoping to have some listed before Christmas.

~Anniversary~

Today is my 3rd Etsy Anniversary! Wow has it really been three years since I started my business. Amazing how time flies. Thank you so much to everyone for all your support. To celebrate I'm going to be running a giveaway / sale from this Friday (I'll give you all the details right here in this blog). I hope you can participate. Don't forget to tell your friends.

~New listings~

My Etsy shop has been gradually filling up with new creations. Here are some of my recent pieces:

In the next few days I'll be listing some more Christmas decorations.

I've also added some gothic creations:

To keep up to date with all things Tatania Rosa, check out my twitter page and Facebook fan page.
