New Lace Earrings

Good afternoon. I hope everyone is fine.

As you might know I had my first Christmas craft fair over the weekend. We didn't get many people through the doors but if was fun nonetheless. I'm now working on stock for the next one on the 10th December. This one is in a different area of Kent so we'll see how it goes.

~New Listings~

As the title of this post suggests, I have just listed some new lace earrings (click the pictures to go to the listings):

These elegant tatted earrings above were created using black cotton thread, gold seed beads and black glass teardrop beads. I think they would look great at parties and proms.

Here is the white version:

~Christmas Orders~

I've listed the Christmas shipping deadlines in my Etsy, Folksy and Artfire shops. They are recommended dates so order early to avoid disappointment.

Right I must get back to the tatting. Have a nice day.

Christmas Decorations And Events

Hello everyone. Hope you are all having a nice day.

So what have I been up to? Well I've been busy creating items for orders and craft fairs as well as new pieces that are now up on Etsy.

~Christmas Craft Fairs~

My first Christmas craft fair for this year will be next Sunday (27th Nov) at Westgate Hall in Canterbury, Kent. Find more details here. If you're in the area, come along. There will be lots of crafts stalls and fun things for the kids to do. I've been working on a new line of housewares that I hope to start selling here.

The second Craft fair I'm attending is the Past and Present Christmas Fair at St. John's Methodist Church, Whitstable, Kent. 10th Dec, 10am to 4pm.

I'm really looking forward to these fairs.

~New item pictures~

I've been taking new pictures for some of my creations. Here's two of my Christmas decorations (click the pictures for the Etsy listings):

This last one seems to be popular as it sold twice in the same day!

~New creations~

This red tatted Christmas decoration is getting a lot of love. At only $5 this makes a great addition to any Christmas tree. Find it here.

I've also made a large silver snowflake. This one will be back in stock as soon as my new silver thread arrives, hopefully in the next few days.

As well as snowflakes, I've also just started tatting Christmas trees. It took a few goes to work out a pattern that looked right and this is the result. The gold decoration below is available here:

These metallic creations are available in other colours. At the moment I have gold, red, blue and black. Feel free to contact me if you want a custom listing for your colour choice or for a different number of decorations. I love custom orders.

I've also started listing these on Folksy for UK customers here.

Gothic Lace

Hi everyone. I've just listed some new creations on Etsy.

This first one is based on my Katherine design. I started by hand tatting the motif in a thicker thread to what I normally use and then added black seed beads and agate gemstones to the bottom. The cord it hangs on was also hand tatted by me. Perfect for Halloween! Available to buy here.

The above was an experiment using the tatted cord idea. This goth / punk wrap bracelet features one black cord and one fuchsia cord. Buy it here. Are there any colours you'd like to see this in?

I'm getting closer to my second Etsy Anniversay so I'm currently working on details for competitions etc. You'll know more very soon.

Well it's back to working on my newest order for me then I think I'll tat a sparkly Chritsmas decoration.

Have a nice Wednesday,

Seasonal Items

Good morning. Hope everyone is having a nice week so far. So what have I been up to? Well I've been working on some new style of bracelets. I've just finished one and am currently waiting for some new colours to make another one. I can't wait to show you all. I'll post a pic today on my twitter page. Speaking of twitter, I'm just about to reach 1,900 followers. Thank you very much guys :-) I'm thinking of doing something special on there when we hit 1,900.

~New Listings~

'Celyna' Christmas decoration available on Etsy here

This sparkly Christmas decoration was shuttle tatted in metallic blue thread. It would look great on any Christmas tree. I think I'll make a gold one next.

'Violetta' gothic wreath available on Etsy here

I've created my first wall decoration. What do you think? Purple cotton thread was hand tatted round a 5 inch polystyrene ring. I then added black satin ribbon and a cute black ribbon bow. This would look great on Halloween or why not give it to the goth in your life. My head is full of wreath ideas now so expect to see some more soon.

I'm currently editing some photos of new 'Luna' pendants that I hope to list later on today so keep your eyes peeled.

Holiday Snaps

Holiday Snaps
As some of you know, we went on holiday to Shropshire and Devon over the summer. Our holidays usually involve exploring castles and stately homes (i've never been one for lying on a beach for a week). This year was no different.

We stayed at Much Wenlock, a gorgeous medieval town. This picture below is why I love this place:

I'd love to live in a ye olde building! Most of the town is contemporary to this. If you ever find yourself up there, I reccommend staying at The Talbot Inn. It's a 14th Century building. The bedrooms are lovely and their food is gorgeous!

Our first outing in the surrounding countryside was to Shugborough Hall in Staffordshire. It was built in the 17th Century and has stunning interiors (I personally loved their library!)

Here's the view at the back:

Spot the heron! This was in the Shugborough estate.

New lace and ribbon work

New listings

These are all available to buy at my online Etsy shop.
The top two pendants are one of a kind creations so once they're gone, they're gone. The hair fascinator was a joy to create. It consists of handmade peach and salmon ribbon flowers, faux suede leaves and ivory lace for the base. This would look great with a lacy corset or with a classic / sweet lolita outfit. This is another one of a kind creation. I'm thinking of making some more like this.

 Clearance Sale!

I need more space for new stock so I've decided to have a clearance sale on some items in my Etsy shop here.

I'm currently working on something large but I'll say more tomorrow.

Have a nice day,

Busy Bee

Hi everyone. Lots to talk about today.

New Listings

Below you will find new creations that I've made recently. These can all be purchased from my Etsy shop.

New shipping policies

I have now decreased the shipping costs for my lowest priced items. These items will be sent using First Class / Airmail. If you would like a different shipping method, you can contact me and I will create a custom listing for you with the revised shipping cost included. For full details of these changes, please see my shop policies here.

Work in progress creations

I have four pendants and a pair of earrings ready to be photographed. I hope to list these very soon, so keep watching my twitter and facebook pages.

I've also be working on a large ribbon and lace hair fascinator. This just need a clip attached to it and it's done! I really enjoyed creating this piece and I hope to do more like it in the future. You'll get to see this very soon.

I'm just about to start creating some more lace Christmas tree decorations. These will probably be in metallic thread.

I also have my Celtic bridal cuff and some tiny pendants to sew up, so as you can see I am a very busy bee.

Have a nice day,

New Craft For My Shop

Hello everyone. Hope you are all well.

I've been incredibly busy recently. On Saturday I had a stall at a local craft fair so I was preparing for that all last week. We didn't get many people come through the doors but it was an enjoyable day nonetheless. I sold a few pieces and had lots of lovely comments which is always nice.

I've also been working on some other things, which brings me to the main point of this blog.
New Line of Products

I can now announce that I will be adding ribbonwork flowers to my Etsy shop.

I picked up a gorgeous craft book a while ago and was immediately inspired to have a go at some of the creations. I then quickly moved on to trying my own ideas. When I haven't been tatting, this is what I've been doing. I'm now hooked!

Sneak peek of some of the creations:
The picture above shows a blue fantasy knotted flower hair clip. I'm thinking of trying this in different colours. Below is a slightly different version with one layer. I used a cute black ribbon with silver spots. This would look great with a punky outfit.

This lilac and white pansy hair clip was one of my first finished pieces. It's so cute. Watch this space for a gothic version.

I've made this red and gold piece into a hair barrette. This is great for parties or proms.

I will launch this product line on Thursday 1st September in my Etsy shop.

If you have any colours you'd like to see, feel free to comment below this post with your suggestion.

Have a nice day,
Heather x

Wedding lace and Artfire

Hello everyone. First of all I'd like to say that my heart goes out to anyone affected by the riots happening in London and other areas of the country. I hope this stop soon. Stay safe wherever you are xxx

I've been hard at work on some new pieces of tatting. If you are following me on twitter or Facebook, you'll know that one of these creations is a white Celtic bridal cuff

This is how much I'd completed the other day. It's taking ages as I'm working with four shuttles simultaneously but I'll get there. Hope it looks good when it's finished.

I've also been working on my colour scheme on Artfire using their new design. Have a look here.

There are new listings on there too:

This one sold recently on Etsy and now has a home on Artfire. Click the picture to take you to the listing.

This is a lovely variegated pink star charm pendant. Perfect as a gift or as a treat for yourself.

This bookmark was a custom order and it is now available for anyone to buy here. I've also added customizable listings: one colour, two colours and variegated colours.

I will be listing more pieces on Artfire very soon.
