Busy, Busy, Busy

Hellooo everyone. Apologies for not blogging in a while. I've been so busy with different projects.

I'm about 1 week away from my 5 year Etsy Anniversary. Can you believe it! I'm so grateful to all my lovely customers for their support in helping me grow my tatting business. I've been thinking up some fun things to celebrate but I'll keep that for another post.

~Latest listings~

I've listed another PDF tatting pattern:

This 'Eva' bookmark tatting pattern features the basic version (Beginner) and three variations (Intermediate) with both written instructions and diagrams. It is an instant download so no need to wait for an email. I hope you enjoy tatting this, I know I do.

Speaking of bookmarks:

This 'Rosa' bookmark was tatted in a lovely lilac / grape thread and leaf green thread. This is also available as a pattern here.

This rustic bookmark started life as my 'Christina' earring design. I then tatted a chain border around the edges. This can be created in your chosen colour. Click here to see the available colours. If you'd like it in a different colour, please contact me and I can source the colour for you.

I've also started listing Christmas decorations:

This large decoration was tatted in metallic silver with gold seed beads. It would look wonderful on any tree.

I've just purchased some gorgeous iridescent thread that I've decided to use to make more decorations. I used this type of thread earlier on in the year for an order and I loved how it looked so buying more was a must. I can't wait to show you how it looks!

~Side project~

In the summer I restarted my Zazzle store for my art and photography. This is a print on demand site with lots of cool products ready for you to add your work to. I like to think of the items as blank canvases.

I've also set up a second store for my nautical themed items:

I'm adding items daily to my Zazzle stores so check back regularly.

That's it for today.

Have a lovely Thursday,
Heather x

New Hair Accessory, SALE and more

Good evening all and Happy World Goth Day!
I have a few things to talk about today.

First of all, I have a new hair accessory available in my Etsy shop:

I hand tatted the flowers for this hair comb in pale lilac, lavender and white cotton thread and sewed them to a base of olive green tatted leaves. I loved creating this and I now have ideas for more colour combinations. You can find more details about it here.

~SALE~

I'm running a Sale from now (Thursday) until Tuesday on all items in my Etsy shop

Enter code:

20PERCENTOFF

in the coupon code box during checkout for, you've guessed it, 20% OFF.

Offer ends Tuesday 27th May 11am EDT / 4pm BST Valid only with code. Excludes shipping.

~Wanelo~

Is anyone on Wanelo? It's like Pinterest but only for products. I'm starting to get the hang of it and I've already found lots of great items, so if you wish to, you can follow me here. It also has a feature where you can create stories that are a lot like Etsy treasuries. Here are my first few (click on the pictures to see more about the items):

I look forward to seeing you on there.

New Tatted Bookmarks

Hi all.
I have some new tatted lace bookmarks for you:

I've just listed this variegated yellow rose bookmark on Etsy. It would make a lovely Spring or Summer Wedding favour. Please contact me if you would like a larger quantity. Bulk discounts are available.

Why not treat yourself or perhaps give it as a gift.

'Janessa' red and green bookmark. This was shuttle tatted in a thinner thread than my other bookmarks and was very enjoyable to make.

I hope you like these. I am currently photographing a new hair accessory that I'll have available in the next few days. Keep an eye on my twitter page for updates.

New Site and Listings

Hi all. I hope you're having a good weekend.

I'm having a very productive time. As well as working on some custom orders, I'm also trying to sort through my project box. This is where I keep my most recent ideas and currently it's full of half finished pieces. Now that I've been to my latest craft fair, I'm determined to get back to finishing at least one per day. Here's a few of the items I'll be finishing next:

~Google+~

I've decided to start a Google+ page for my tatting business.

If you're on google+, you can follow me here. I will be using it to keep you updated on new listings as well as some posts on topics I'm interested in. I hope you can join me over there.

~New creations~

Here are my latest tatted lace creations. These can all be found in my Etsy shop.

'Mina' teal beaded earrings. Find them here.

'Lyanara' One Of A Kind prom / tropical beach bridal bracelet. This features the hand dyed 'Corsage' thread by the wonderful Marilee of Yarnplayer. You can find it here.

'Janessa' butterfly garden bookmark. This is also a One Of A Kind piece as this was the prototype for a new bookmark design featuring my 'Janessa' motif pattern. It is available here

I've also decided to update my Etsy banner:

It features part of my variegated pink rose bookmark. What do you think? I really like it.

That's it for today. Keep an eye on my twitter page / facebook page / Google+ page as I'll be listing a few more bookmarks today and tomorrow.

Have a nice Sunday,
Heather x

New Tatting Pattern

Good morning everyone. Hope you're well on this cold Sunday. I've got lots to talk about today. So first things first: I have a new tatting pattern online.

For the past few days I've been working on a pdf of my rose bookmark pattern and after a lot of drawing, writing, proof reading and more proof reading, I've finally published it. I really hope you like it. This happens to be one of my favourite designs I've created since I started tatting.

Find it on Craftsy and Etsy.

Next: I have something exciting to share.

I will be opening my very own online boutique this month.

It will be packed full of my tatted lace jewellery, home decor, bookmarks, tatting patterns and much more. Can't wait to show you all!

As well as all this I've been busy creating new items:

'Rosa' bookmark in a stunning mix of raspberry, yellow, peach, purple and green. This was created using the bookmark pattern above.

'Janessa' bookmark in lilac and grape. This uses another of my motif patterns, available here.

'Valencia' napkin rings in foxglove purple.

'Amaryllis' beaded pendant in variegated pink.

'Christina' earrings in blush pink and ivory.

More new creations coming soon.

Have a lovely Sunday,
Heather x
