New idea and new items

Hi everyone. Hope you are having a nice weekend. Lots going on over here.

I've been thinking about new markets I can get into. There are a few ideas bouncing around in my head, one of which I'm trying out at the moment. The other I had the idea for last week and have done the first piece. Here is part of it:

Ta da! I've decided to enter the world of coasters. I recently bought thicker yarn which is ideal for this as you can create a fairly big motif  in a short amount of time. I don't think I'd ever attempt this on my usual finer thread but who knows. I shall be listing sets of 2, 4 and 6 and I'm also planning on doing white ones for weddings. What do you think? I'm going to create a few more tomorrow and then I'll start listing them around Wednesday.

Now on to my newest listings. My tatted choker is for sale here on Etsy

as is the salmon pink version of my Mina earrings.

I'm working on some other colours using this design. These shall be listed soon.

That's it for the moment. Enjoy the rest of your weekend,

Heather x

I love the coaster idea. White ones would be so gorgeous on wedding tables under the water glasses!!!

And if you do a beaded edge, they become glass covers (to keep things out of your glass)

Tatting is a FANTASTIC art form! Wow! It takes such patience! I only managed to learn petite point before my eyes gave out for such small work.
I would love it if you would stop by and follow the HIDE A HEART blog too!

Hi,
Noticed you were a fan of ours on F/B.
So I thought I'd come and take a look.
Very nice work! A friend of ours Gemm Moss picked up a metal mask in Venice and as soon as I saw it -I thought of you! I think you could adapt it and I also think there might be a market for them. Have look :- http://missmosscorsets.blogspot.com/2010/04/little-treasures-found-in-venice.html

Thanks for the comments.

Miss Val - I'm trying one out at the moment :)

I could do that Sewicked - not sure about the market for that.

HIDE A HEART - have just done so.

Thanks Tony - That is a beautiful mask! There is a lady who has been creating tatted masks for a while so I wouldn't want to step on her toes.
